Death is the Gateway to Eternal Life

Death is just another step along life’s

changing way, no more than just a

gateway to a new and better day, And

parting from our loved ones is much

easier to bare when we know that they

are waiting for us to join them  “There”

  For it is on the wings of death that the

living soul takes flight in the “Promised

Land of God” Where there shall be “No

Night” so death is just a natural thing

Like the closing of a door as we start

Upon a journey to a new and distant

Shore.  And none need make this

journey undirected or alone, for God

Promised us safe passage to the vast

And great unknown.  So let your grief be

softened and yield not to despair, you

have only placed your loved one in the

Loving Father’s care.

God saw that you were getting tired

And a cure was not to be.

So He put his arms around you

And whispered, “Come home with me.”

With tearful eyes we watched you suffer

And saw you fade away.

Although we loved you dearly,

We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
A determined spirit was at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best.
